Early Career Role
Sold and supported products, services, contract renewals and extensions to GE Capital - GE Computer Service's single largest account, Apollo Travel Services aka COVIA computer reservation system. Responsibilities included service level agreement (SLA) management, contract renewals, account profitability, inventory management, service call management, and customer executive presentation. Transitioned GE accounts with the acquisition by IBM Global Services from GE Capital. Sales included both the public sector (U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Texas Utilities and private sector (General Dynamics, VICORP (Village Inn), and channel partners e.g. Fivestar Computer).
Managed territory development to include training new sales & marketing team members, existing account development, and new account prospecting and territory development within specific vertical markets focused on the transportation industry. Developed and led EDS Asia Pacific (Seoul, Korea) sales and marketing personnel. Utilized budget and costing tools and processes, oversaw proforma financial statements for reporting of forecast vs. actual of fixed and variable costs, cost center-based accounting and variance reporting. Multi-state client representative covering Colorado and new business development e.g. Alyeska Pipeline, Anchorage, AK. Developed long-term, layered revenue, services-based proposals for mostly large-scale, multi-year opportunities requiring cross functional coordination among marketing, operations, finance, and human resources with bid and proposal budgets > $500K.
Co-located with the Personal Best Fitness Center, NPTI Colorado enrolled more than 2,300 students from 21 different countries. Oversaw $1.2M annual P&L for 16+ years, and the generation of gross revenue over $12M while managing over 100 students, instructional & administrative staff, contractors, and suppliers / vendors in two cities. Responsible for a $500M - $600M annual payroll for three businesses in two locations, 18 - 20 W2 and contract employees, to include variable and fixed compensation, bonus plan, payroll taxes, recruiting, personnel development, industry certification, insurance, and other employee benefits. Developed curriculum, continuing education, grading system, and clock hour tracking for the complete personal trainer education program.
